What would you like to tell readers about yourself?

* Cailin has been writing fiction for five years and non-fiction for two decades. Her non-fiction work has been published in magazines and in a non-fiction anthology. She’s a member of Romance Writers of America, the RWA Fantasy, Futuristic and Paranormal Chapter, and the RWA Passionate Ink Chapter.
* Cailin likes to flip convention on its head, creating a universe in which each planet is a study in different what ifs. What would happen to alpha men on a matriarchal planet where the women are not Dommes in the strictest sense but certainly have the attitude down pat? How would society handle it if girls born on their new planet developed empathic senses? Cailin throws her characters into these settings, heroes and heroines whose kink is a major defining attribute of their personality.

When he is shot and the most-wanted criminal he’s escorting escapes, he fears that his career, his one success in life, is doomed. Assigned to ferret out the cause of missing shipments for a VIP aristocrat, he meets Selina Shirley CEO of the House of Shirley. He finds himself inexplicably attracted to her despite her frumpy appearance. When he meets a hooded and masked, scorching hot Domme, Lasair, at his friend’s BDSM club, he’s torn between the two women. Both fire his imagination and call to his submissive nature. Either might be the woman to change him into successful husband material.
* Selina Shirley organizes her life like she organizes her business, taking control of all aspects of each. She’s concluded that she must marry to get an heir and that her future husband must be totally submissive. Mentored by the sector’s most famous sadist, she learns what it takes to be a proper Domme. Then, hidden behind a hood and mask, as Lasair, she meets Maon and her instant attraction to his full submission at the BDSM club leads her to break her own rules and become involved with him. But he’s also the marshal assigned to investigate thefts at her company. When his broad streak of protective alpha male comes into play, it obvious he’s not a 24/7 submissive. * Despite his ordinary, nondescript looks, Randolph, owner of the Whip Hand, had a charisma that mesmerized even the most difficult people into doing exactly what he willed. Not that Maon needed mesmerizing to take up Randolph’s gauntlet. They were friends, and when Randolph had needed someone to help in a predicament bondage scene, Maon had been hesitant to assist him. After all, what was in it for Maon? He wasn’t into Randolph, and he didn’t like pain. When Randolph turned it into a challenge with a hot female sub as a prize, Maon’s reluctance had evaporated. Now it was a given that Randolph would offer Maon a new sadistic challenge whenever Maon made it to Beta Tau. The public play space was already crowded with tourists of every stripe, from lifestyle kinksters to the merely curious. The Whip Hand was a place to indulge your fantasies or explore new possibilities. Only the serious-minded would complete the security registration that allowed them to enter the private play space and individual rooms beyond the public areas. Maon spotted Randolph heading toward him. A woman who looked familiar to Maon was following him, but she darted into the locker room before he could get a good look at her. He turned back to the scene he’d been watching.
* “You ready?” Randolph asked when he strode up to where Maon was observing a younger man using a single tail to make a submissive shriek in fear. With each crack, she screamed even though the whip had yet to touch her.
* “He’s good,” Maon said.
* Randolph crossed his arms over his chest. “Trained him myself.”
* “What? Mind fucks or the whip?”
* “Both actually.” Randolph’s face lit with a smirk.

Evil comes in many forms…
* One by one, Laura Armstrong’s friends and adoptive family members are being murdered, and despite her unique healing powers, she can do nothing to stop it. The savage killer haunts her dreams, tormenting her with the promise that she is next. Determined to find the killer, she follows her visions to the site of a crashed meteorite in her hometown. There, she meets Ben Fieldstone, who seeks answers about his parents’ death the night the meteorite struck. In a race to stop a madman, they unravel a frightening secret that binds them together. But the killer’s desire to destroy Laura face-to-face leads to a showdown that puts Laura and Ben’s emotional relationship and Laura’s pure spirit to the test. With the killer closing in, Laura discovers her destiny is linked to his, and she has two choices—redeem him or kill him.

~ Excerpt ~

* She planted her feet shoulder-width apart, and facing the woods, commanded its inanimate objects to obey her wishes. Her hands danced in fury as rocks and branches flew through the air toward one another.
* She stripped off her sweater and turtleneck, now damp with sweat. The sun hit the lake from the treetops burning off the fog, shooting millions of sparkles across the water toward her. But Laura closed her eyes to the beauty and fought her war with evil.
* The sounds of her battle echoed around the lake as wood and stone broke against each other. She was a creature of nature and hypnotized in the darkness of her mind as she fought. She shrieked with bitter triumph.
* Then exhaustion overcame her and her rage drained away. She sank to the ground, weeping. The pain of her many losses overcame her. How could she win against something she didn’t even know? But she did know one thing. She and this killer had to be connected. Just as she was connected somehow to the man she sensed deep in the earth here all those years ago. She rose up on her knees and threw back her arms wide open in protest, her chest reaching out toward the sky.
* “Just come and get me you bastard! I’m ready!” She opened her eyes and squinted from the sunlight now all around her.
* “Laura,” a voice called softly from behind her.
* She jumped up and turned around to see Ben standing by the shoreline. The adrenaline that had surged through her body disappeared. She felt weakness crash over her in waves. She couldn’t form words to say. Tears still streamed down her face.
* She reached out a hand to him and it shook. She stared at it as if it weren’t part of her body and she tottered on her feet. Ben lunged toward her and caught her before she fell.

Welcome to Sam Cunningham w/ #erotic #fantasy ‘The Legend of Queen Agatha’ @GoddessFish

Today we have author Sam Cunningham visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
sam_cunningham

* Sam Cunningham is a small college physics teacher. He knows from personal experience with his pupils that through nurturing nearly all young people can become productive citizens. It is an overwhelming tragedy that so many poor children are not given this nurturing. Their personal loss, and the loss to their country of their productive ability, is a catastrophe. As a scientist he understands that critical thinking and the ability to follow where the evidence leads are the only reliable ways to understand the real world. Away from work he leaves the real world of hard evidence to read science fiction and fantasy. His favorite childhood movie was the Walt Disney 1950 cartoon of Cinderella, and he greatly admires strong women. Sam brings together all of these ingredients in this story of a princess who becomes a wise and inspired queen with a personal mission to achieve productivity, prosperity, and happiness for all of her people.

Today Sam Cunningham will be talking about the first book he read that had a big impact on him.
* Alice in Wonderland, the original version by Lewis Carroll including the original pictures. Although I was too young to do more than like the story and read it over and over again (and of course look at the pictures of a very pretty and mannerly girl), I can see with mature hindsight that Alice was such a sweet and polite girl who handled herself very well through all the unfamiliar situations in which she found herself. When dealing with any adversary, Queen Agatha must be tough, tougher than the adversary. But in her gentler scenes I wonder if readers of “The Legend of Queen Agatha” can recognize Alice in at least part of the character of Queen Agatha.

* In the mythical, medieval land of Xana, Queen Julia ruled as a typical aristocratic monarch in a country whose great wealth was concentrated among the privileged few. Her daughter, Princess Agatha, was the champion of the commoners. The evil sorcerer Magi comes to Xana to kill Queen Julia and ravage aristocrats and commoners alike. Princess Agatha alone is spared, for she is protected by her fairy godmother. Now the beautiful heiress has two challenges, first to rid Xana of Magi and then to lift all the commoners from poverty into prosperity. To achieve her first goal she must identify her handsome prince incognito in the crowd on her first try. She won’t have a second chance. To achieve her second she must invent and use radical political schemes even if not all her people approve.

~ Excerpt ~

* With Magi at last gone, a small group of Queen Julia’s inner circle, haggard, emaciated, and the only ones still alive, found the heiress. Hoping still to stave off her radical ideals, the eldest pleaded, “You know the story of Cinderella. Now your prince has found you. Let him be king and rule with moderation, for he will treat you with all the kindness that befits his queen. We can advise him in the ways of Xana.”
* Agatha palpitated. So immense was her rage that it is to her credit she did not explode. She took twenty slow, deep breaths and then replied with resolve, “Cinderella and Snow White became pampered palace ornaments in lands already prosperous and wisely governed. They also had wonderfully happy marriages and beautiful children.” With a dignified air of absolute authority, and with all hesitation gone, Queen Agatha declared, “I have a destiny to fulfill. I must inspire my people to rebuild our ruined land into a prosperity such as the world has never seen. I must make sure that prosperity is shared with all my people. Not one shall be left out. Be off with you, naysayers, and never return to my palace. Among the humble and honest people I will find women and men with great talent to lead in this noble endeavor, people who never say, ‘It can’t be done,’ but who will do it.”
