* “The Good Spy Dies Twice,” the cryptic final words from a condemned death row inmate draw Jake Boxer, the one-time king of cable news, out of retirement, setting him on a collision course with a deadly global conspiracy involving his secretive wife, a depraved New World Order, and the “guests” at a posh Alaskan ski resort. Everyone is a suspect. Part spy thriller, part whodunit, “The Good Spy Dies Twice” is the first book in Mark Hosack’s explosive new thriller series, Bullseye. Called “an undeniably spry and rousing espionage tale” by Kirkus Reviews.

* Mike and Tim, the remaining members of the Bullseye crew, had been watching quietly from two chairs flanking the room’s only window. The team was staying at, and broadcasting from, the fourth floor of the Napoleon Hostel, a cramped but tidy place less than a mile from Moscow’s Red Square. The room’s window offered a plum view of St. Basil’s candy-striped spires, the Kremlin’s dollhouse facade, and, just a few blocks beyond, the massive Lubyanka—a tiered bureaucratic building that once housed both KGB headquarters and the infamous Lubyanka prison. It was now home to the FSB. Jake was sure that just as he was looking out at them, they were looking in at him.
* Contrary to what Claire said, he had seen tails since they’d arrived—civilian cars following their taxi from Domodedovo International. Bums who hopped into subway trains right before the doors closed. Jake had seen glints of light following them from high in the sky more than once—Dozor-3 Russian combat drones armed with cameras and for all he knew, ballistic missiles.
* Before they’d left the States, Jake had been all too sure that Claire’s admirable skills had secured the proper filming visas, but now he was beginning to think differently: Had Putin lured them within his borders to make it easier to kill them off? Was this all because Bullseye was targeting Russian corruption on the global stage? It sounded like a wild conspiracy, but was it really that unbelievable?

THE FIRST RULE IS: NEVER GO ALONE.
* “Never Go Alone is an explosive return for both Denison Hatch and his hero.” – BestThrillers.com
* A rash of elaborate cat burglaries of luxury buildings in Manhattan has the city panicked.
* When a group of social media obsessed millennials–a loosely organized crew that call themselves “urban explorers”–are suspected in the heists, undercover NYPD detective Jake Rivett is assigned the case.
* Rivett dives deep into the urban exploration scene in pursuit of the truth. But what, and who, he finds–deep in the sewers, up in the cranes above under-construction skyscrapers, and everywhere else in New York–will change not only Jake, but the city itself.

~ Excerpt ~

* Jake paced along the familiar corridors of One Police Plaza. He padded across the detective bullpen and past his old office. A clean-shaven man, about his own age, stared back blankly at Jake. Rivett didn’t even recognize the guy who now occupied his former workspace. That wasn’t the nature of most police departments, but it certainly was in New York. The volume of crime was astronomical and the volume of new detective recruits equally high. In fact, many beat cops spent their entire careers trying to become detectives, only to burn out or transfer out within a handful of years. Jake had once been a boy in blue as well. He’d spent the minimum time required—two years—out in a patrol car. He’d gotten his gold shield ten months after that; primarily due to the sources he’d managed to scrounge up while on patrol in Chinatown. While Jake’s ability to measure people was strong, his ability to split them open was legendary. As was his chutzpah. He was like a pit bull when it came to everything, cases not excluded. That was why, during his first few years as a detective, not a single one of his cases went unsolved. But his discipline was another thing altogether. The department was half squares and half circles, but he was four-dimensional. It was a simple as that.

* Native to the UK, I was born in the Garden of England in the early 90s. I was creative from a young age, always wrapped up in my own world and fantasies. I was a big reader from a young age, reading Les Miserables and Lord of the Rings while I was still in primary school. I was fortunate enough to be able to travel a lot in my youth, from Hong Kong to Houston I experienced the world and gained a greater perspective of the world outside my small woodland village I grew up in.
* In secondary school I was told I was too cynical to be a writer and was put off writing for many years. Instead I pursued a degree in Physical Geography, gaining my Masters degree in late 2015. University gave me time to really discover myself as a person. Allowing me to pursue my passions and dreams to their fullest. I want to share my stories and ideas with the world. As a child I hungrily devoured fiction and now I will help feed the minds of others.

* My eyes were slow to open; I had to shield them with my hand as the sunshine was bright and painful. I let out a gasp as I realized that I was falling backward, the wind rushing through my thick hair. I hit the ground, greeted by its hard embrace; I was lying in tall grass swaying in the wind, the sun rising in the sky. Sitting up, I realized I was in a vast field, seeming to be unending and empty apart from the regular fencing intersecting the fields. It was surprising how warm it was for the morning. The ground was already warm from the sun and the ever-present frost of winter was missing. I appeared to be in the middle of a sloping field of grass and wild flowers. The crest of the field was obscured from view, but at the bottom was a thin and winding country lane lined by tall trees. In the distance I could see what looked like the edge of a large town. The intricate masonry brought on a familiar feeling like I was home, but I had no recollection of being here before. I had no memory of how I had ended up at the field. The last thing I remembered was being on the rooftop with Terry, and now I was somewhere else entirely. Finally, it dawned on me. Why did I not remember why I was here? Amnesia? Dissociation? Had there been an accident? I checked myself for injuries, but there were none. Although I did notice I couldn’t recall buying the clothes I was wearing—slim black jeans, a black vest top, and a soft red hoody. Also, I realized my hair had been cut shorter. I ran my hand across the unfamiliar short bristles; it was clear that some time had passed, but I was unsure how long it had been. I started making my way down the hill toward the road in the hopes of flagging down a passing car. The wildflowers waved in the breeze; it was a beautiful day, a nice temperature with a clear blue sky.
