Sarah Michelle Lynch is a former journalist who wrote a trilogy of science fiction novels while on maternity leave. In 2012 she took a deep breath and published the “Ravage Trilogy” which was later re-edited and became the UNITY novels. Sarah is lucky that some readers have been with her since the very beginning and have read all the different books she’s written.
It quickly became clear from reader response that Sarah has a flair for penning erotic scenes and so, Sarah took inspiration from real-life people around her and wrote “A Fine Profession”, a compelling and compassionate read. At book signings readers often confess in a whisper that they’ve read this book – Sarah’s first erotic novel – and sometimes, readers have even admitted it’s their personal favourite.

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?

Sara Ackerman is an author by day and a writer by night.
* Sara Ackerman is a lifetime lover of words. After years of encouraging students to write, she finally took her own advice and “sat down and did it already.” She lives in southwestern Wisconsin where she was born and raised.
* She loves to read all genres of books, though her true love is historical romance. Unsurprisingly, that is what she can be found reading when she is not writing. Her particular favorites include Jane Austen alternative histories and anything by Mary Balogh or Julia Quinn.
* When not found with a nose in a book or in her writing lair, Sara enjoys superheroes, believes in magic and loves being with her family (but not necessarily in that order).

I suppose my life could be described as a romance novel itself. Life has many twists and turns, many forks in the road, and numerous bumps. But we learn and we grow.
I am a firm believer in, ‘your life is what you make it’, And I am greatful for the two important people in my life that taught me that approach. May they be watching me now.
I married my childhood sweetheart, and had he gifted me with a son…everything has a Happy Ever After, you just need to believe in it.
Yes, I ramble, and at times it is a challenge to shut me up.
Apart from the obvious duties in life, writing is the only thing that I can sit and concentrate on without contemplating all the other things I should/could be doing. If I’m not writing…I’m thinking about writing, usually with a coffee in my hand.
I always start the day with a coffee, and a motivational quote. It really does help.
