Today Jacey Holbrand will be talking about the next story in her Helldorado Mongrels MC series: Enchanted by Him.
* Thank you for hosting me on your blog today! The timeline of Enchanted by Him overlaps the one set in the second book Seduced by Him. (The stories in the series can be read as standalones, but as with most series, it’s best if they’re read in order). In Enchanted by Him, we’re reintroduced to the character Sloth–the man Tex, from Seduced by Him, is forced to ride up to Las Vegas with.
* We follow Sloth and learn why he splits off from Tex, we learn Sloth’s secret, and of course, we go on a journey with Sloth as he discovers his mate and falls in love. We also see what finally happens to Inferno, the leader of the Helldorado Mongrels MC.
* Come be enchanted!

A look into…

~ Blurb ~

* Helldorado Mongrels MC member, Sloth, is a man with secrets. He’d joined the club with a specific goal in mind, and when three visitors arrive, he fears one of them will turn his world upside down. Especially since that newcomer is a witch and his mate.
* Shaman, the medic from the Skinwalkers MC, was hired to find the woman after the Mongrels’s gold and has secrets himself. When he meets Sloth, the man he knows is destined for him, Shaman begins to reconsider his evil, witchy ways, and his internal conflict irritates him.
* Despite the constant clashing of their differences, passion ignites between the two men. But will their secrets cause betrayal and hurt? Destroying their relationship before it even has a chance to fully develop? Or will love ultimately triumph?

~ Excerpt ~

* As he sputtered and his eyes watered, he spun away from the invisible partition and ran into the tall medic. The cowboy hat was gone, showing that the man sported long, jet black hair, drawn back into a ponytail. Memories of what his imagination had conjured up earlier flooded his mind and sent his cock twitching again. He had to fight an irresistible urge to drop to his knees before the man, unzip his black jeans, and take his shaft into his mouth.
* Shaman chuckled, and once Sloth’s gaze connected with the medic’s gray-eyed gaze, Shaman lifted the corner of his mouth in a mischievous grin.
* Sloth sucked in a stream of air as the man’s compelling and magnetic gaze held tight to his. Under the intense stare, Sloth’s body crackled and his joints hissed. The tingly sensations and odd sounds made him realize Shaman was stripping away all his cloaking spells. He tried to combat the psychic assault. His own powers weakened as Shaman continued to stare at him. All he had left was the mind block he’d put in place, and even that felt tenuous.
* He attempted to step back and found he couldn’t move. Shaman had “frozen” him into place. Sloth thanked the Great Spirit he hadn’t actually been turned into an ice pop. He hated wintery cold temperatures. On top of it all, without the magic that’d been surrounding him for so long, he felt completely bare and exposed.
* Again, Shaman offered a short laugh, this time snapping his fingers as well.
* Sloth’s clothes disappeared. Not a stitch of fabric remained on him. To his dismay, he truly was naked. And traitor that it was, his hard cock stood at attention.
* Who needs mind reading when my erection gives my thoughts away?
* The medic strolled around him, seeming to appraise him like a stud at market. The man swept his fingers and hand over Sloth’s arm, buttocks, and the dip created by his spine at the top of his ass crack, making approving murmurs as he did so. Shaman came to stand in front of him and stroked his hand down Sloth’s chest to his cock.
* He didn’t know how it was possible he could be rendered into a state of statue-like material, but still be able to perceive each brush of Shaman’s fingers and palm, the nuances of the man’s gentle touches and lingering caresses. Sloth would have sighed and swooned had he been able to.
* “You know, perhaps I won’t kill you and consume your powers.” The medic looked up from Sloth’s cock and stared at his face. He raised a brow. “I see the shock in your eyes. Your gaze gives away everything you’re thinking.” His tone dripped of disapproval. “I’m a true skinwalker. Do you think being a mate matters to one of my kind? We crave power. Always need more. Doesn’t matter who, what, where, when, or how we get it as long as we amass as much as possible.”
* Dread filled Sloth. His mate had considered killing him? Murdering him for skills he could barely use anymore himself? He wished he could close his eyes, block out the sight of Shaman, and be able to focus on clearing his head.
* So much for the fairy tale euphoria of meeting one’s true love, feeling that instant connection, knowing there’s no one else who would love him unconditionally, and having the insatiable need to be with that someone.
* Instead, he had confusion, despair, and panic about being tied to someone who might kill him in his sleep. Yet, he still couldn’t help being super attracted to the witch and wanting to fuck him—hard and fast or slow and easy. Didn’t matter to him how. As long as they got inside each other. And the fact that he craved to be physical with the skinwalker scared him even more.
* “But then,” Shaman continued, “the pull I feel toward you is inexplicable. The thought of you no longer walking the earth pains me in a way I’ve never felt before and worsens with the idea of my hand taking you from your mortal coil. No. I won’t kill you. I won’t consume your power. But I will demand having all of you—body, heart, and soul. The two of us will be greater together as a bonded couple rather than just me having all the fun causing havoc everywhere.” Shaman clucked Sloth under the chin.
* “I smell your attraction to me,” the medic stated, sneaking a glance at Sloth’s penis. “I see it, too. Yet, I also smell your fear. We can’t have that. Amorcito, you need to trust me … love me. I’m more than happy to give you some time to wrap your head around all of this. Not a lot of time, mind you, but whatever decision you come to, know this, you will be mine.”

a look at J.R. Gray & ‘King Consort’ @theoriginalgray @booksbygray #Gay #EroticRomance

Today we have author J.R. Gray visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?

* When not staying up all night writing, J.R. Gray can be found at the gym where it’s half assumed he is a permanent resident to fulfill his self-inflicted masochism. A dominant and a pilot, Gray finds it hard to be in the passenger seat of any car. He frequently interrupts real life, including normal sleep patterns and conversations, to jot down notes or plot bunnies. Commas are the bane of his existence even though it’s been fully acknowledged they are necessary, they continue to baffle and bewilder. If Gray wasn’t writing…well, that’s not possible. The buildup of untold stories would haunt Gray into an early grave, insanity or both. The idea of haunting has always appealed to him. J.R. Gray is genderqueer and prefers he/him pronouns.

A look into…

~ Blurb ~

* Avoiding sleeping with women was my specialty, an art form even. As the future King of England I couldn’t be caught sleeping with men. My whole life played out in front of the paparazzi, and they didn’t miss a thing.
* I had a carefully crafted womanizing persona to maintain. My life came with rules, all of which I broke when I couldn’t resist a one night stand with the enemy: A beautiful paparazzo with a heart of gold. He may be the only person who doesn’t want me for my title, and he can never be anything more than my secret.
* But secrets have a way of coming out and not only will they scare him away, but they’ll lose me the crown.

~ Excerpt ~

* He sat back keeping the camera in his lap. “How much liberty are you giving me?”
* I mirrored him and looked him over, taking my time with my answer. “Why are you asking.”
* Lust crossed through his gaze. “Take off the shirt.”
* I obliged him, slowly working my fingers down the buttons. I slid it off and set it aside. He looked me over, hungry. My cock stirred at the look. I’d never felt so desired by another person. He slid forward on the seat and brought the camera back to his face. I stayed as I was until he told me to move.
* “Sit on the edge of the table,” he said breathless.
* I was glad this was getting to him as much as it was me. It was entirely foreign to give someone such a thing over me. To allow someone to take these photos. It was daring and exhilarating. I’d have to be careful or I’d get addicted to the acting out like some bored teenager.
* I sat on the edge to the table closest to the fire and he moved back to take a few shots. I looked up when he hadn’t said anything in a few moments to find him just watching me. The fire illuminated his scar, and I wanted to kiss the length of it, from his brow to his lips. I licked my lip and my chest rose as I inhaled fully, trying to calm myself. He snapped another photo.
* “What do you see?” I asked unable to stand wondering a moment longer. I wanted to know how he saw me.
* “I see hunger,” he said as he came closer. “The way you look at me.” The camera hung at his side as he stalked closer.
* I wanted to reach out for him. To shove him into the chair he’d occupied and climb on top of him, but I refrained because more than wanting him, I wanted to see what he did.
* “Take your pants off.”
* I raised a brow but didn’t say more.

a look at Beth D. Carter & ‘In A Chord’ @BethDCarter @evernightpub #Menage #EroticRomance

Today we have author Beth D. Carter visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?

* I like writing about the very ordinary girl thrust into extraordinary circumstances, so my heroines will probably never be lawyers, doctors or corporate high-rollers. I try to write characters who aren’t cookie cutters and push myself to write complicated situations that I have no idea how to resolve, forcing me to think outside the box. I love writing characters who are real, complex and full of flaws, heroes and heroines who find redemption through love.

A look into…

~ Interview ~

* Thank you so much for hosting me today! In A Chord is a re-release, previously published through another publishing house. I was unsatisfied with the story because a writer’s craft constantly grows and gets better with every manuscript written. Plus, I really hated the cover. In this business, you really are judged by the cover so with those two things in mind, I decided to take back the rights, rework the plot a little and lucky for me, Evernight said yes.
What inspired you to begin writing In A Chord? What trivial events could you explain behind writing your story?
* Music is a big inspiration to me and I wanted to write something set in that genre. In my younger days, I used to go dancing a lot, and the best clubs were always pounding out the base. I discovered the better the beat, the sexier the feeling. Swaying hips, rushing excitement. It is definitely a very seductive atmosphere. When I dreamt up these characters, I wanted to bring that rush into the story.
Tell us about the characters.
* The title is actually a play on words…a chord is three notes (or more) in harmony. I started out with the two men, Ash and Keaton, two men into heavy metal. Head bangers in their teenage years, starting a band up in the parent’s garage. I needed a female who understood both, because each has their own personality. This is where the band, Skillet, comes into the picture. One song, “Awake and Alive”, has a female voice and a fiddle, and that just made Momo come to life.
Was there as specific part of the story that you absolutely loved writing as well as not enjoyed writing?
* To make the characters more human, I wrote a scene where one of the men is coming out of the bathroom, warning Momo not to go in for a bit. I found it really funny.
* There wasn’t much in this book I didn’t enjoy writing. I’m a very liner type of writer, meaning I don’t really jump around scenes too much. I start at point A and finish at point Z. So, sometimes just writing the in between stuff, the ordinary day to day, can be tedious because your job is to still make that monotony interesting.
What other projects are you working on at the moment?
* Currently, I am working on a book where a woman finds out that her marriage certificate was never filed, making her not really married. This happened to friends of mine and I always wondered what would’ve happened if they’d not found out.
* I have the follow up to my book Take Aim & Reload (Forgotten Rebels MC #4) in the works.
* One of my publishers went out of business and I have the rights back to some of my books, so I’ll be working on those as well, making them better and resubmitting them to Evernight. (Fingers crossed)
* Whatever I write, it’ll have erotica romance themes through it.

~ Blurb ~

* Keaton Gates and Ashland Lance are lovers and musicians in a band called Endymion. Keaton believes there is something missing, not only from the sound of their music, but also in their lives. When he hears Momo Willows singing Endymion’s signature song, he knows she’s the muse he’s been waiting for.
* At first, Ash Lance is jealous of the new girl in Keaton’s life until he meets her. Momo is unlike anyone he’s ever met and they soon discover that they connect on many levels. But he’s reluctant to take her away from Keaton just as Momo refuses to come between them.
* Keaton is quick to assure them he wants all three of them to learn to be in a ménage relationship, but as they learn how to live and love together, another threat is moving between them, threatening to take Momo away….forever.
This is a previously published work. It has been revised and edited for Evernight Publishing.

~ Excerpt ~

* “Keaton, Momo and I…we, um, kissed.”
* He saw Keaton shoot a look at Momo, then down at her hand on his knee, then back to Ash. “What?”
* “Keaton,” Momo murmured, shame shining on her face. “It just happened and I’m so sorry. There’s something tangible between he and I, just like I felt toward you, and that’s why I don’t think I can be with you—”
* “She knows about us,” Ash interrupted her, picking up her hand. He saw Keaton’s gaze follow the gesture. “She doesn’t want to get between us.”
* “What?” Keaton said again, his tone going a bit deeper.
* “She figured it out but it felt right to tell her.” He ran an agitated hand through his hair. Momo took her hand back and placed it in her lap. “Keaton, man, I don’t know what to say.”
* He sat silent for a moment, obviously thinking things over. “Is that why you tried to bail earlier?”
* She nodded.
* “Is that all you did? Just kiss?”
* “Yeah. That’s it, I swear. I mean, I wanted to do more, but I know she’s your girl—”
* “Ash, it’s okay.”
* Ash waited because he knew something more had to be coming. If Keaton were to tell him to stand and take a punch, he would be jumping up and bracing himself.
* “No, Ash, it’s really okay,” Keaton assured him.
* Ash saw the surprise he felt mirrored on Momo’s face. Keaton just smiled at them.
* “For a while I knew that something was missing in our lives,” Keaton continued. “Not between you and me because I love you, you know, but I knew there was something out of place. I just didn’t know what, and then, when I heard Momo sing, when I talked to her and heard her passion for our music, it all kind of clicked.”
* “What clicked?”
* “That missing element in our music, in our lives, was her.”
