Accounting For Love
Long Valley Romances 1
by Erin Wright
Genre: Contemporary Western Romance
Is she the answer to his dreams … or the person who will be forced to destroy them?
He’s a farmer, dammit, not a bookkeeper
When Stetson Miller inherits his father’s farm in Idaho, he’s too focused on crops and yields to pay attention to the financial side of things. The next thing he knows, he’s got a stack of unpaid bills, the bank is threatening to foreclose … and the auditor who’s come to examine his accounts is the sexiest thing he’s ever laid eyes on.
But she’s a city girl, just like the last one who left him at the altar. He’ll guard his heart – but he can’t help wanting her.
She’s checking him out … in more ways than one
Jennifer Kendall doesn’t mind a tough job, but the handsome Stetson is trouble of a different kind. When he isn’t making her mad, he’s filling her head with all sorts of forbidden fantasies.
The sparks between them fly even faster when the road washes out and Jennifer has to spend the night on the farm. But passion alone won’t pay the bills. Can Jennifer find a way for Stetson to save his farm?
And if she can’t, will he ever forgive her?
Accounting for Love is the first novel in the Long Valley world, although all books in the Long Valley world can be read as standalones. It has some strong language, and oh my, sexy times. If you would prefer the sweet version, it is also available on Amazon. Either way, enjoy!

Blizzard of Love
Long Valley Romances Book 2
A country boy who hates Christmas for a reason, dammit …
When Luke Nash runs into Stetson Miller down at the feed store, he never expects his friend to strong-arm him into spending Christmas at the Miller farm. Luke has no patience for Christmas cheer or Yuletide song. And the rugged cowboy definitely has no desire to kiss a girl under the mistletoe. No matter how infuriatingly pretty she might be.
A city girl who loves Christmas …
Bonnie Patterson adores Christmas, so when her best friend Jennifer invites her to spend Christmas at the Miller farm, she jumps at the chance. When she sets out for the snowy country town, she has visions dancing in her head of cozy nights by a crackling fire, not of a hot cowboy with an ice-cold heart.
The Storm of the Century…
Instead of a peaceful holiday in the country, Bonnie gets stranded at the Miller farm by a blizzard. Even worse, she’s snowed-in with Luke, an arrogant, impossible, but damn sexy cowboy.
When the fly sparks, will two people who are oh-so-different find their own Christmas miracle?
Blizzard of Love is the second novella in the Long Valley world, although all books in the Long Valley world can be read as standalones.
Blizzard of Love is a sweeter romance with minimal sex and mild language …
If you would prefer the completely clean version, it is also available on this storefront. Either way, enjoy!
Arrested By Love
Long Valley Romances 3
He’s a fighter, not a lover …
Two years ago, Wyatt Miller lost his family to a drunk driver. His heart broken, he slowly put the pieces of his shattered life back together. Running his thousand-acre ranch from dawn till dusk helps him forget about his broken heart. When he stops a drunk from getting behind the wheel one night, he ends up in a bloody fight … and then behind bars.
She keeps men in line, but has a soft heart …
Abby Connelly takes her work at the Long Valley Jail seriously. She has no dreams of marriage, children, or white-picket fences. All she wants is to do her job and please the only family she has left, her father. But the moment rugged and wounded Wyatt Miller walks into her jail, Abby realizes her heart might just have a change of plans …
But small towns have a way of holding onto big grudges. Wyatt and Abby have an uphill fight to overcome the bad blood between the Miller and Connelly families.
Because redemption never comes easy …
Arrested by Love is the third novel in the Long Valley world, although all books in the Long Valley world can be read as standalones. It has some strong language, and oh my, sexy times. If you would prefer the sweet version, it is also available on Amazon. Either way, enjoy!
Overdue for Love
Long Valley Romances 6
Can true love prevail against prejudice and deceit?
After a bitter betrayal, Dawson Blackhorse won’t allow anyone to run roughshod over his heart again … especially not the woman he was once foolish enough to trust.
The rodeo circuit gave Dawson an escape after his racist boss ran him off. Hank Bartell made it clear no man who was part-Navajo, would buy his ranch or court his daughter. In a single moment, the man destroyed every one of Dawson’s dreams.
But when the rodeo brings him to the tiny mountain town of Sawyer, Idaho, he comes face to face with everything he lost.
For nine years, Chloe Bartell hasn’t been able to forget the man who abandoned her. Especially not when she looks into the eyes of their son.
The quiet life Chloe leads in the small town of Sawyer is shattered the day Dawson comes to compete in the rodeo. He’s everything she remembers and more. Gorgeous. Muscular. Six foot and change of sexy cowboy. She watches helplessly as he comes face to face with the son he never knew he had. Dawson demands answers but Chloe is determined to keep her distance. When sparks fly, the fire they ignite threatens to burn down the walls she’s built around her broken heart.
Will the pain and loss of their past drive them apart for good? Or can they forgive each other and build a new life, a life they always dreamed of…
Overdue for Love is the sixth novella in the Long Valley world, although all books in the Long Valley world can be read as standalones. It has some strong language, and oh my, sexy times. If you would prefer the sweet version, please check out the other listing for this book. Either way, enjoy!

a look at ‘Woman as a Foreign Language’ by @KatherineWyvern @evernightpub #LGBTQ

Today we have author Katherine Wyvern visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?

* Katherine is a gipsy soul who lived in Italy, Norway, Germany, France and Spain but mostly in some private universe of her own.
* She still lives a half wild life among the woods and castles of the Dordogne in South West France, together with her husband, cats, horses, ducks and dog.
* She’s worked as a printer, a welder and a gardener, and she’s been writing since she can remember, mostly poetry, fantasy and erotica, sometimes mixed together in weird ways.
* Nowadays, when not busy with walking, horse-whispering or dream-weaving, she is usually painting, embroidering or working her backbone off in the garden.

A look into…

* Thank you for having me on your blog today to talk about my new book Woman as a Foreign Language.
* This is the strange love story between a girl who is incapable of expressing her feminine side and a man who on the contrary is really good at it.
* There are more than a few autobiographical elements in the book, so that writing it was sometimes painful and sometimes exhilarating, and in the end, certainly cathartic!
* Unlike my other books, which have usually expansive Sci-Fi or Fantasy settings, this is a very intimate love story, mostly set indoors in a gritty contemporary town. Without the trimmings of fancy world building the focus is entirely on these two unique, compelling characters, and this is without exception the most beautiful love story I have ever written.
* I hope you will give it a go and enjoy it as much as I do!

* What do you do when the woman you want to be … is a man?
* Nina’s abusive childhood left her feeling so vulnerable when wearing anything flimsier than combat boots that she has spent her whole adult life dressed like a gang boy. But when she meets the tall, glamourous, charismatic Julia (actually her cross-dressing neighbor, Julian, going out en femme), Nina is seized by an overwhelming and terrifying urge to finally express her own femininity.
* Julia/n has not only a slightly split personality but also a thoroughly broken heart. What s/he wants most is a partner who will love both Julia and Julian. While Nina learns from Julia how to be a woman, Julian discovers that they might well be made for each other, but it will take a struggle against prejudice and a whole conservative mind-set before they can follow their hearts, and express their true, unique, and beautiful selves.

~ Excerpt ~

* “Well, are we going out this evening or what?” asked Julia, seeing Nina sitting down still naked on the bed.
* “Oh, it will take me two minutes to get ready,” said Nina, smiling up at her. “I am not such a woman as you,” she added, grinning impishly.
* “Oh, indeed?” said Julia, and pinched her nose in passing, then went to the wardrobe to fish out some stockings, a pocket bra and breast forms. Boobs were invariably the first thing. She liked her body well enough, as a man or a woman, except for that flat chest. A girl should have tits, and a boy should have some muscle at least, but somehow, she had failed to achieve either. The sweet, soft, bouncy weight of the breast forms immediately made her feel better about herself. Stockings were always the next thing. Her legs were as smooth as silk in any case, but the sleek feel of stockings on them was almost an aphrodisiac. Time was, long ago, when she was much, much younger, when just wearing a pair of stockings would give her a hard-on. She was not such a green horn anymore, luckily, because the last thing she needed right now was an erection.
* She stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling mirror, and pulled on her gaff half the way. She gently maneuvered her testicles back up to where they were before they dropped (if only they had stayed there, she thought despondently, and not for the first time), then gave her empty scrotum a slight twist and pushed it down and back towards her buttocks. She was on the point of tucking her penis down and under the same way (if she laid them side by side, they looked every bit like labia through her gaff … et voilà, instant pussy… more or less), when she caught sight of Nina’s eyes. Nina was still sitting on the bed, still naked, and gazing at her with those gorgeous gipsy eyes, studying everything Julia did and every inch of her body. Julia threw a look at her own lean, white figure in the mirror. She was standing with a hand between her legs and her gaff askew, half way between her knees and her hips, which felt somewhat less than graceful and dignified, and she wondered what Nina was seeing that was so entrancing.
* “What?” she asked, smiling.
* “Nothing. I did wonder where they went, when … you know.”
* Julia grinned. “They don’t go very far, worry not.”
* Nina stretched herself long, like a happy cat, still gazing hungrily at her, eating her with her eyes.
* And suddenly Julia stiffened. “Oh dear,” she said.
* “What?” asked Nina, in a somewhat comical echo of what Julia had said less than a minute earlier.
* “Er … ahem. Stop looking at me. Just don’t. I can’t tuck it with a hard-on!”
* Nina covered her face with her hands, vainly trying to suppress a fit of laughter. “I didn’t do anything. I didn’t!”
* Julia was laughing too by now. It was hopeless. She let the whole lot hang out again and took two short steps to the bed (the gaff half-way up made it impossible to step out properly). She kneeled on the bed and started tickling Nina’s feet, the back of her knees and her sides.
* “I didn’t do anything, I didn’t,” Nina repeated, between peals of laughter.
* “Ah, but you were thinking, don’t deny that you were thinking.”
* “Ok, ok, maybe I was, a little bit, please stop, stop, please!” Nina turned on her side, and curled up in a tight ball, still shaking with laughter. Julia stopped tickling her and pushed her on her belly, wiggled out of the gaff, then straddled Nina’s small buttocks and leaned down to nuzzle her neck and the back of her head.
* “What were you thinking, you imp? Mh? What were you thinking?”
* She bit gently into Nina’s earlobe and kissed her cheek. Nina smiled beatifically.
* “That you are an elf, an angel, a goddess.”
* “A female-female she-goddess? Really, with all this embarrassment hanging out all over the place like this?”
* She let her cock and her smooth, smooth balls brush Nina’s buttocks, smiled and kissed her again.
* “Always. You will always be a goddess to me,” murmured Nina, drinking in the kisses, her eyes closed. Her hand searched for Julia’s hand, their fingers wove together of their own accord, and Nina drew the hand closer to kiss Julia’s fingertips one by one, adoringly. Julia smiled and pressed her breasts down on Nina’s back, rubbing them gently on her shoulder blades.
* She kissed Nina again and again, on her temple, cheek, eyelid, nose, the corner of her mouth. She was so precious. Sleek, small-boned, but fierce and sharp, like a bird of prey, hooded and caged, but never quite tamed. And I have set you free, and you chose to fly to me.
* “I love you. Darling,” she whispered in her ear, in her huskiest, deepest voice, and Nina shuddered all over while her spine gave a twist, as Julia knew it would. Nina turned under her, to hug her and draw her body down. Julia moved her knees within Nina’s legs, and just like that, without any difficulty, her untimely erection found a place to go.
* So wet. How can you become so wet just by looking at me? What do you see that nobody else ever saw? What do you see that even I don’t see? Julia sank her face in Nina’s neck, to kiss her, bite her, whisper in her ear, yes, oh yes, whisper and murmur and cajole, until my voice will make you melt, my love, my love, my love.

* When a straitlaced journalist and a fearless motorcycle racer are thrown into an interview together, will they find any common ground? Or are they destined to clash?
* Gloria Heath loves her job as a lifestyle journalist. She also loves the perks—free meals, complimentary spa treatments, behind-the-scenes access and more. So when her boss sends her on an assignment to the British Superbikes tournament at Donington Park, she’s less than impressed. Sports are definitely not her thing, and her brief is to find a rider with an interesting back story and write about their journey. But how is she supposed to do that when she really doesn’t care one way or the other?
* When she experiences the atmosphere and the racing, however, she starts to see the attraction. Soon after, she finds the perfect case study for her article. Rafe Donovan is fearless, ambitious, and the underdog of the tournament. He’s also drop dead gorgeous. She eagerly sets out to interview him, but soon discovers the bad boy biker is a tough nut to crack. The more she asks questions, the more he shuts down. Throw some chemistry into the mix and things go from bad to worse. Can she get the material she needs, or is her first foray into sports writing doomed to fail?
* Note: Fast Lust was previously published in the British Bad Boys Boxed Set.

~ Excerpt ~

* Gloria Heath gaped at her boss, Graeme, unsure if she’d heard him correctly. No, no, she couldn’t have heard him correctly, because she thought he’d said he wanted her to go and cover the first round of the British Superbikes at Donington Park. She shook her head and chuckled. He must have said The Great British Bake Off. That sounded similar, didn’t it?
* Graeme frowned. “Something funny, Gloria?”
* She snapped her focus back to her editor and smiled. “Sorry. I must be going deaf, or mad, because I thought you said you wanted me to cover some motorbike race.”
* His expression was stony. “I did,” he replied coolly. “Do you have a problem with that?”
* Blinking, she opened her mouth, then closed it again. Narrowing her eyes, she said, “But I’m a lifestyle reporter. I cover—”
* “I’m well aware of what you cover, Gloria. I’ve been your boss for three years—don’t you think I’m familiar with what you write by now?” He sighed. “I know it’s not your usual thing, and is way out of your comfort zone, but don’t you think a change would be nice? A bit of a challenge for you?”
* Gulping, she replied, “A ch-challenge? Graeme… did I do something wrong?”
* He rolled his eyes. “It’s an article, Gloria, not a bloody punishment. No, you didn’t do anything wrong. Your work is exemplary—always has been, and I’m sure it always will be. But I have one of the sports writers off sick, with no one else available to take his place, and not covering the first round of the British Superbikes is tantamount to blasphemy for our motorsport readers.”
* A feeling of dread settled in her stomach, making her nauseous. “Do I… have a choice?”
* Graeme raised his eyebrows. “I’m an editor, not a dictator. But come on, Gloria, do me a favour here. Like I said, there’s no one else to take his place—you’re the only one with time in your schedule. If I’m not mistaken, the stuff you’re currently working on isn’t time-sensitive. Sunday’s race, however, is.” He leaned forward and put his elbows on the desk, then flashed her a smile. “We’ll even put you up in a nice hotel, right near to the track. One little article, Gloria. You’ll be saving my life. Please.”
* Gloria knew when she was beaten. Graeme wouldn’t force her, she knew that, but it was clearly very important to him. And he’d never asked her to do something like this before—he was generally very laid back, and let her get on with writing pretty much whatever she wanted to. So one article out of her comfort zone—albeit way out of her comfort zone—was the least she could do. “All right,” she said resignedly. “I’ll do it, for you. But you have to give me a full briefing on what exactly you’re looking for. The last thing I want is to end up writing something where I’ve taken completely the wrong angle.
* “And,” she added, “where the hell is Donington Park, anyway?”
* Graeme’s expression turned despairing. “In the Midlands, Gloria. Near Derby and Nottingham. North of Watford Gap.”
* “Bloody hell, that’s miles away! Have I got to drive? I’ll need a pool car.”
* “Drive, get the train, hell, you can even fly. The circuit’s next door to a bloody airport. I don’t care, as long as you go, all right?”
* She folded her arms. “The train will be fine. Though a first class ticket wouldn’t go amiss.”
* Graeme rolled his eyes. “Done.”
* “And about the briefing…”
* “Of course! I wouldn’t send you in there unprepared. Right, you go and carry on with whatever you were doing while I get all the arrangements sorted. Come and see me when you get here tomorrow morning, and we’ll go through everything you need to know.” She nodded and stood up, then turned to leave. “Oh, and Gloria?” She turned back. “Thank you. I really do appreciate it.”
* “You’re welcome, boss. Just don’t make a habit of it, all right?” She winked to show she was joking.
* Grinning, he waved a hand at her. “Go on, get out. I’ll see you in the morning.”
